Being a mother is a very important role that God has chosen to give many women.  In Titus 2:4-5, we read where Christian mothers are instructed to love her children, part of the reason for this instruction is so that the mother will not bring reproach on the name of God and the Lord in whose name she bears.

“Children are a gift from the Lord,” Ps. 127:3-5 tells us. Sadly not every woman is at a place in her life when she becomes a mother and she often finds this truth hard to grasp.  Not taking hold of this truth as a mother  can cause devastating effects on a woman’s children.

In Titus 2:4, the Greek word philoteknos appears in reference to mothers loving their children. This word represents a special kind of “mother love.” The idea that flows from that word is that of a mother caring for and nurturing her children. Affectionately embracing them, meeting their needs and tenderly befriending each one of her children as an unique gift from the hand of her heavenly Father.

In Ronnie’s video, he talks about the scars and the wounds a mother can leave when she doesn’t use her gift of motherhood as God intended and how not doing so can leave a devastating effect on her child—particularly the male child.

Ladies, chose God’s wisdom in the corner of your world. “The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish tears it down with her own hand,” ~ Pro. 14:1
